Ctrl - M
In the Data Entry module under record you will find Copy fields - Ctrl+M. This function allows you to look up an existing record that is similar to the item you're about to enter and copy the details to the computers memory. As you move through the data entry fields you can press F4 to recall the information from the same field of the sample record... make sense?
Ctrl - O
Found just above Ctrl+M in the Record bar menu, this function allows you to look up an existing record and copy it ready for any necessary adjustment. Not to be confused with the save multiple function outlined below. This is especially useful for entering new editions of existing sets quickly.

Save Multiple (Adding Multiple copies of a resource quickly)
After typing in the catalogue information for a set you need to enter barcode and copy number details for each item in the set. If you prepare the resources carefully using your barcodes in sequence along with the copy number (eg Barcode of XXX00012 Copy number of 01, Barcode of XXX00013 Copy number of 02, Barcode of XXX00014 Copy number of 03... see the sequence?) then you can just type in the details of the first copy and press F10 - Save Multiple to save the next 60 items. Because barcodes get lost or damaged you might need to use the F10 function several times for one set but even that will save you heaps of time! (A difficult function to describe but worth getting to know)
