Every now and then you will come across data that is either inconsistent or requires editing. If it is a simple change you might fix the entry immediately, but if you find that a number of entries need to be changed leave it until you have time to do it correctly, this includes doing a backup.
Bulk changes should never be done unless a backup has been done prior to the attempting the change. This will allow you to restore your data if a change is done incorrectly.
Once you have completed the necessary changes always check the data for consistency again before any further backups are done.
To make a simple change to one or two records go into data entry and locate the particular book/s using either the find or filter option. Once the titles are displayed double click or highlight the title and then click on the necessary tab to make the changes. Simply click in the field that needs changing and insert the new information. Don't forget to click on the tick button up the top or press F9 to save the changes. TextTracker will remind you to save if you try to leave the screen when there are unsaved changes
